SteerMouse is an advanced driver for USB and Bluetooth mice.
SteerMouse can assign various functions to buttons that Apple’s software does not allow, including double-clicks, modifier clicks, application switching, assignment of shortcut keys, “snap to” cursor movement, which moves the cursor to target (such as an OK button), and more.
SteerMouse lets you control the cursor’s sensitivity on top of the tracking speed. (Apple’s software only allows adjustment for the tracking speed.) By adjusting both configurations, you can customize the ideal setting for the cursor to fit the movements of your hand.
Instructions:
- To upgrade, remove SteerMouse’s Accessibility permission before launching updated version
- If you have expired trial notice from using trial version in the past, uninstall old version via menu before upgrade
- To preserve settings, when you select ‘Uninstall’ in menu, choose ‘Show Settings File in Finder’, drag ‘Device.smsetting’ out, uninstall and upgrade app, then drag ‘Device.smsetting’ back to the same folder and reopen SteerMouse menu

- Problem solved where SteerMouse Manager would consume a lot of memory.

Unfortunately this app stops working correctly after just a short time. It would be very much appreciated if a fully working (or even better: newer) version of Steermouse could be uploaded here!
