1Password is a password manager that uniquely brings you both security and convenience. It is the only program that provides anti-phishing protection and goes beyond password management by adding Web form filling and automatic strong password generation. Your confidential information, including passwords, identities, and credit cards, is kept secure using strong encryption.
1Password fully supports major Web browsers, including Safari, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera. All browser extensions share the same encrypted data which means you never need to manually copy your passwords between browsers or from the password manager to a browser ever again!
1Password is also available for and syncs with Windows, iOS, and Android.

Merci, mais, désolé, ne fonctionne pas avec Mojave 10.4.1
Thanks, but, sorry, does not work with Mojave 10.4.1
Do you mean Mojave 10.14.6?
I’m currently using 10.14.6 and it works.
Non, non. Je dis bien Mojave 10.14.1. C’est mon fils qui m’avait monté un Hackintosh et le mettait à Jour. Je suis incapable, après maints essais, de le faire.
No no. I say Mojave 10.14.1. It was my son who had mounted a Hackintosh and updated it. I am unable, after many attempts, to do it.
Update to 10.14.6
Safari extension is enabled, turned on and visible in Safari toolbar but fails to work. Version 7.3.2. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not fix the issue. Other browsers are not affected. Anyone seen the same issues?
You have to restart your Mac.
Restarting and reinstalling do not help.
quelle est la difference en terme de fonctionnalité entre la version par abonnement et celle ci ? je suis sur la version 6 . vais je perdre des fonctionnalités ?
what is the difference in functionality between the subscription version and this one? I am on version 6. will I lose features?
Trouble with 1Password 7.4.3 after upgrading to macOS 10.15.4. The application fails to start. Any solutions?
Not working for me on Catalina 10.15.4
Newest Mac Update right now to 10.15.4 (19E266). Clean My Mac doesn´t start anymore. Any idea?
Folks, that´s the solution for 10.15.4-Update: https://www.macbed.com/if-crashes-when-opening/
Codesigning 1Password allows it to run again but Safari (or FireFox) extension is not working.
Codessigning CleanMyMac and enabling Full Disk Access for CleanMyMac fully fixes the issue!
We need a solution for 1Password browser extension.
I codesign it but it still isn’t syncing with iCloud. Is it the same for you?
I didn’t check iCloud syncing. For now I am glad I can start it and copy-paste passwords until a longer-term solution is found
At the moment I’m using the WLAN Sync. Plz someone let me know about iCloud
always crashes when opening the app after Catalina 10.15.4 updated. Can you fix it? Thanks
Open terminal and copy this
sudo codesign –sign – –force –deep /Applications/1Password\ 7.app
Here the same…not working on Mojave 10.14.6
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/10-15-4-sip-issue.294009/
Worked for me with Catalina 10.15.4 (19E266) after Signin it with Code Sign:
https://www.macbed.com/if-crashes-when-opening/
Thanks.
Doesn’t work anymore since Security Update 2020 -002 on High Sierra 10.13.6
since updating to catalina 10.15.4 installer no longer seems to work/finish. app, for some reason still opens, but icloud sync no longer functions
Sorry, the CR2 version does not work if I want to use iCloud Sync.
You’re gonna have to wait for iCloud Sync support. It takes a while for the release group to codesign the components of 1Password properly after getting rejected by Apple, literally and figuratively.
Hello. What does CR2 mean? Thank you.
Bonjour. Que veut dire CR2 ? Merci.
I’m not sure, but it indicates that the release group is aware that the application no longer works because of a recent operating system update, so they release the application of the same version again to make the application functional again. I don’t know why they always only fix the application first, then release it without fixing iCloud Sync and the Safari Extension as well.
Fixed.Support 10.15.4.
No, it hasn’t been “fixed”. iCloud Sync and Safari Extension don’t work. It takes them a while to fix those problems.
ICloud sync does not work and Safari extension does not install on CR2 version
Not working anymore on Catalina 10.15.4
working with Terminal Code : sudo codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/1Password\ 7.app
But without Safari Extension
If install Safari Extension from App Store 7.4.3 will replace with 7.4.4 and you have only read Status
Hope TNT will fix the Problem
Confermo!
This Version can’t use extension and icloud, May the codesign’s problem, hope the 7.4.4 by TNT’s come
Anyone tried this yet on Mojave 10.14.6?
Anyone tried this (7.5) yet on Mojave 10.14.6?
iCloud sync not work
safari extasion not working
Argh. I’ve tried going back to previous 7.1/7.2/7.3 versions but now none of them work. I think it was a change made in the last Mojave Security Update that has ended this working.
Unfortunately, this version also does not work with iCloud sync on macOS Mojave 10.14.6
Is it just me or Touch ID no longer works with 1password? It’s prompting for my master password every time it locks.
Anyone tried this (7.6) on Mojave 10.14.6?
Works on 10.14.6 – but only the app. The Safari extension still DOES NOT WORK, and hasn’t been since around 7.4.2-7.4.3 (don’t remember exactly).
I’m running Mojave 10.14.6 (18G3020). It was the Security Update 2020-002 (and later Updates) that hobbled 1Password’s ability to use iCloud sync and install the extension in Safari 12/13. If you already installed Update 2020-002 or later, you can reinstall Mojave 10.14.6 from the App Store without loosing any data which will take you to a pre-Security Update level (18G103). You can then update to 2020-001(18G3020), reinstall Safari 13 (if you wish) and then install 1Password 7.4.3 (found on AppKed) which will work fully. I haven’t tried this latest update 7.6 yet, but will.
Of course it’s your call on whether or not outdated security updates are acceptable.
I don’t know how TNT modifies this app, but I can tell you that Code Signing will not allow the app to use iCloud or install the Safari extension even if it allows the core app to work.
Note that when you install a new version of 1Password 7 over your existing version, the old version is retained in a zip file in Applications. You can delete the new version and replace it with the old version if you wish and it will work as before, so no concern trying out different versions.
iCloud not works !!!!!
i have version 10.15.5 Catalina
Pointless then – thanks all.
Mojave 10.14.6 – only the app works, the Safari extension still does not.
We are all really grateful for all your work, but please bring back the working extension.
Safari extension not working makes it much, much, MUCH less useful and convenient.
Every single time you want to log in somewhere, you need to: 1) open the app, 2) type in your master password, 3) search for the account, 4) manually copy the login, 5) switch to the browser, 6) manually paste it in the login form, 7) switch to the app, 8) manually copy the password, 9) switch to the browser, 10) manually paste it in the login form.
10 “excruciating” steps and a bunch of switching, where before you would open the 1Password mini window with a keyboard short, type in your master password and you’re done, everything would be filled in automatically. 2 steps. 3 if you have multiple accounts for one website and you need to choose which one you want to use.
The Safari extension is a crucial part of the whole experience.
Can anyone confirm if version 7.6 works on Catalina 10.15.6? Muchas gracias!!!
– iCloud not working
– Safari extension not working
always crashes when opening the app after bigsur
This release seems to require System Integrity Protection (SIP) to be disabled, which is something I am not willing to do anymore. It’s strange that the release group made the decision to make it available as soon as possible instead of sitting on it for a couple of days to make it work while SIP is enabled. iCloud Sync and the Safari Extension didn’t work with 1Password 7.6 with SIP enabled, but Folder Sync and the Google Chrome extension worked with SIP enabled. I don’t know if the Safari extension and iCloud Sync works with SIP disabled as I’ve never tested it. CleanMyMac scanned the DMG file and it detected a PUP, but I believe it’s a false positive. I’m starting to think I should pay for a standalone fee for the application instead of pirating it.
7.7 always crashes wish macOS big sur
7.7 is compatible with big sur, both safari extention and icloud sync works. But you have to disable SIP.
Version 7.7: installation on macOS Catalina 10.15.7 fails. Any solutions besides disabling SIP?
I’ll have to confirm that.
You can copy and paste the following into Terminal: sudo codesign -f -s – –deep /Applications/1Password\ 7.app
But iCloud Sync and Browser Extensions (Safari, Google Chrome, etc.) will not work. I think disabling SIP is the only solution to getting iCloud Sync working. I use the Folder Sync method with iCloud Drive and have the WLAN Server set up as a workaround. 1Password 7.6 didn’t work with Safari and iCloud Sync wasn’t working either with SIP enabled.
I’ll have to confirm that
I’ll have to confirm
Version 7.7: installation on macOS Catalina 10.15.7 fails. Any solutions besides disabling SIP?
I’ll have to confirm that
To Mac2. Some folks on mac-torrents managed to get Safari extension working after codesigning with SIP enabled on Catalina 10.15.7. I wasn’t able to reproduce that after 4 attempts and rebooting. Even after a clean installation. Yeah, I can start the app and manually copy-paste but no iCloud sync and Safari extension. Such a pity!
Works with Big Sur if you disable CSR.
Here’s how to do it:
Reboot into Recovery with CMD+R on boot.
Type in terminal: csrutil disable
Reboot
Install 7.7
Hi!
I am using still 1Password 6.2.1 with OS Sierra.
I am planning to update to either Mojave or Catalina.
Which 1Password version would you recommend me to install, that is Hassle free?
I don’t care much about iCloud or Safari (or other browsers) extensions.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks!! It works with Big Sur following your indications. Let us hope that next version works with csrutil enable
Can I make 7.8 work on Big Sur without disabling SIP?
And is there a Big Sur version of Codesigner?
Can I make 7.8 work on Big Sur without disabling SIP?
NO
Can I make 7.8 work on Big Sur without disabling SIP?
NO
Thanks. But do I enable SIP after install?
permanently disabled SIP
You can use web browsers to fill in login data with SIP disabled but unfortunately 1Password disabled iCloud syncing between devices, that is each device now has its own iCloud copy of data which don’t intersect. What a disappoinment!
Hi, were can I find version 7.7? The version 7.8 won’t install, I have CSRutil disabled.
thanks
Installed in Mac OS Monterey but lunch and insert my password app crashed not working 🙁
